Things certainly have been interesting these last several weeks. Several businesses, schools, and even churches have been shut down due to the virus that's been going around. I understand the concern, but there certainly has been a lot of panic. And I do have to wonder why all this panic is coming out now and it never was this bad with other major illnesses we had going around in previous years? But still, it never hurts to be a bit cautious. Some of the people panicking are definitely being dumb, buying up more crap than they need - hogging it all and making it harder for others to get stuff. It's gotten to a point where limits have to be put on the amount of items you can pick up from a store. This I'm sure makes it pretty hard for families with tons of children.
As for me, I never really went out much in the first place. Although, I can't really say things are the same now. Several businesses have closed down and a handful let employees go, and that includes my mother. At the very least, I don't have to help my younger sisters with their school work by myself. I was a bit surprised when I found out they'd be out of school for about six weeks. However, the time period was extended, so they won't be going back to school until this Fall. However, I'm hearing whether or not there is school in the Fall is debateable at this point in time. I appreciate not having to get up as early, but I do miss the peace and quiet from not having them at home. It certainly has been weird, not sending them off to school or even going to church. There are people that got more free time with everything going on but in a way, I ended up with a bit less. Because a lot of people have been home, there have been some interesting sales on games. Heck, a handful have even been as much as 100% off! So, being the kind of guy I am, I claimed several games that I may or may not actually end up playing in the future. Jokes aside, I do intend to check them out when I can since I only claimed what interested me. I found most of the temporarily free stuff on Itch.io and at this point, a handful of what I've claimed cost money again, but if you look now, you might find some that interest you. Other places such as Steam and IndieGala have had stuff so I made sure to check what their offers were. So, if you want to give yourself something to do and own a computer, look for games that are currently 100% off from these places, or even some other sites I haven't listed. Heck, I'm probably going to continue looking through the offers for the next few weeks or so. As long as these deals are going on. I'm still trying to find time to enjoy myself too. I pick up my 3DS now and then and play something. I've got some playthroughs I'm wanting to finish up and even some games that I've started but never finished playing through. Hopefully I'll be done with those one of these days. I also watch anime when I'm not working. Some have been airing for a while and I'm watching them while the episodes are being put out. I'm watching dubs for stuff like Somali And The Forest Spirit, Welcome To Demon School Iruma-kun, and Golden Time. I don't just watch shows with English audio though. Ascendance Of A Bookworm Part 2 just started and while the show does have a dub, I've been watching that show with Japanese audio. I did check out some other stuff though, like Anonymous Noise which aired a few years ago and I'm currently watching through A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, since I recently got interested in watching some older anime. It's not all fun and games for me. Well, sometimes I'm making the "fun and games". What I mean to say, is I have been doing some work. Of course there's YouTube and I've been doing a weekly schedule of mostly unscripted videos since February. The main reason I've been doing videos in this format is because I did mostly scripted videos last year and it really took a lot out of me. I figured this was a good way to ease myself back into YouTube. I did put out a few scripted videos too. One of which was a review for a game I recieved a review copy of, so that was fun. Most of my videos I've been working on lately though have been recorded ahead of time since it's hard to record with everyone home. But there are times when I can use my mic which is why I've been streaming Professor Layton And The Curious Village this week. I intend to stream the later games in the series on Twitch too. Lastly, I'm working on another visual novel. It was supposed to be sort of like a spiritual successor to "The Weird One" which came out last year, but it's turning out a bit more serious than I had planned. Bits of comedy are still in the game though. But yeah, that's about all that's going on with me. This has been a weird, but interesting year so far, hasn't it?
